"The room heats up fast when this exciting Celtic trio takes the stage. Talented songwriter, Mac MacKenzie, fronts the band on lead vocals, guitar and Appalachian dulcimer. Starlene Betts is a radiant fiddler whose joy for music is absolutely exhilarating. The heartbeat of the band is Adam McIntyre's superb Bodhran playing and he really kicks it up when he moves out front for a round of masterful P.E.I. style step-dancing. These folks are going places!" - Tom Wilson, Music Director, Jackdaw's Pub & Restaurant & The Rosebud Cafe
"The stand out of the evening was the first act, An Realt - a Calgary-based band. Their business card lists them as Celtic/Roots music - but they had a unique combination of instrument's and voices creating a full, powerful sound!" - Dave King, Calgary
