GAELIC IN CANADA

Gaelic has been spoken in Canada for more than 200 years. My father and his family were Gaelic speaking immigrants and like thousands of others before and after, Gaels have made a rich and significant contribution to Canadian history and culture. Today, Gaelic is still spoken in certain areas of Nova Scotia and efforts are well under way to ensure that the Gaelic language continues to thrive as a living language in Canada.

For a brief overview of the impact of Gaelic in Canada, start by reading this article on Wikipedia.
